HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 1961 - 2020-2025 Transportation Improvement ProgramResolution No. City of Tukwila Washington CVO A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A SIX -YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (2020- 2025), AND DIRECTING THE SAME TO BE FILED WITH THE STATE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD. WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Chapters 35.77 and 47.26 of the Revised Code of Washington, the City Council of the City of Tukwila has previously adopted a Transportation Improvement Program and has thereafter periodically modified said Transportation Improvement Program by resolution, in compliance with state law; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the work accomplished under said program, determined current and future City street and arterial needs and, based upon these findings, has prepared a Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the ensuing six calendar years (2020-2025); and WHEREAS, on June 10, 2019, a public hearing was held regarding the City's Six - Year Transportation Improvement Program; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Program Adopted. A Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the calendar years 2020 to 2025, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted. Section 2. Filing of Program. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file a copy of this resolution, together with the exhibit attached hereto, with the Secretary of Transportation and the Transportation Improvement Board of the State of Washington.
