Miles, Senior Planner City of Tukwila 6300 Southcenter Blvd, Suite 100 Tukwila, WA 98188 RE: Proposed Blue Star Blue Star Gas Facility at 10802 East Marginal Way South in Tukwila Guideway Easement. Dear Mr. Miles: This letter is in response to the proposed Blue Star Gas Facility at 10802 East Marginal Way South in Tukwila Guideway Easement after our meeting on September 1, 2011 at City of Tukwila Office. In the meeting, Sound Transit, Blue Start Gas Seattle Co. and representative from City of Tukwila reviewed and discussed all the concerns, and any potential mitigation to ensure the location does not pose a critical or catastrophic hazard for Sound Transit Central Link Light Rail Guideway, its employee, or its customers. Mr. John R. Rush, from Blue Star Gas Seattle Co. explained the operation process (office hours, delivery route, etc.) for the proposed Propane Gas Station, the safety devices for the propane tank, and the Fire Safety Analysis prepared by Fire Protection Engineer from GT Engineering. In addition, Mr. Rush requested Sound Transit to provide specification for the marking within the Guideway Easement Area and restriction near the Central Link Light Rail Guideway. Sound Transit obtained a copy of the Fire Safety Analysis on September 2, 2011 and reviewed it in detail. Based on the content of that report, along with the expectation of a highly reliable response from the fire suppression devices, Sound Transit does not have any additional comments or concerns regarding the location of the Blue Star Gas Propane Station.
