SPRINT (Speeding Reduction In Neighborhoods of Tukwila) Initiative developed by Police & Public Works in 2016 Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program (NTCP) adopted by Council in 2018 (Resolution 1955) Funding in City budget adopted in 2018 Public Works staff began implementing the NTCP in 2019 VERY HIGH INTEREST IN THE NTCP! REQUESTS FROM THE CITY'S WEBSITE SEE-CLICK- FIX/TUKWILA WORKS EMAIL INQUIRIES PHONE CALLS HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE ELECTED OFFICIALS OTHER CONVERSATIONS DEPARTMENTS, ESPECIALLY POLICE FACE-TO-FACE Level Level 2 ✓ Speed Feedback Signs Installed at 10 Locations ✓ RRFB Installed at I Location ✓ LED Enhanced Stop Signs Installed at 3 Locations ✓ Speed Cushions Installed at 2 Locations ✓ 6 Hour Parking Restriction Signs Installed at I ✓ Pedestrian Refuge Island Installed at I Location Location (by WSDOT) Previous installations include speed cushions at I location and 2 RRFBs at I location WHATAREWEACTIVELYWORKING ON NOW? • Additional LED Enhanced Sign Locations • New School Zone Delineation • New Parking Restriction Signs • Lighting Improvements • Speed Zone Cameras (with PD) • New Crosswalks • Road Diet Additional Speed Cushions New RRFBs WHAT ELSE CAN BE DONE?
