ORDINANCE NO. 269
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA ANNEXING PROPERTY TO
THE TOWN OF TUUKWILA UNDER THE .PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 128 OF
THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition, in writing,
asking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila, hereinafter more particularly
described, has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 per cent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal
description of the property and was accompanied by plat or drawing,
outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the Towri Council has heretofore fixed March 16, 1959,
at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Town Hall,
Tukwila, Washington, as the time and place for public hearing upon
such petition, and a copy of said notice was published in the Renton
Chronicle, a legal newspaper of general circulation in the Town of
Tukwila, and was posted in three public places within the territory
proposed for annexation, which notices specified the time and place
of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice
approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing, the Council
approved the petition for annexation and set midnight, March 27th
1959, as the effective date of annexation,
NOW THEREFU E, J_)E IT OHD.A-AINHD by the Town Council of Tukwila,
as follows:

SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of
Tukwila, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the
northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 35,
township 23 north, range 4 east, UM., in Hing County,
Washington, with the center line of south 170th Street,
thence easterly along said center line to its intersection
with the south line of the north half of the borth half
of said section, which point of intersection is approxi-
mately on the center line of 57th Avenue South, thence east
along said south line, which is also the center line of
South 130th Street, to an intersection of the center line
of South 130th Street and the east line of the west 20
acres of Government Lot 1 of said section, said point being
on the City Limits of the Town of Tukwila as set forth in
Ordinance No. 258 dated March 1, 1953, thence southerly
along said City Limits line and the center line of Green
River to the easterly production of the north line of
Government Lot 7 of said section; thence west in a straight
line to the intersection of said north line with the easterly
line of 57th Avenue South; thence southerly along said
easterly line to the south line of the north 490.00 feet
of the south half of the southwest quarter of said section,
thence west parallel with the north line of the south half
of the southwest quarter of said section to the west line
of said section; thence north along said west line to the
southeasterly line of Orillia Road Extension North, thence
northeasterly along said southeasterly line to the east
line of the west quarter of said section; thence north
along said east line to the point of beginning,
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 11. The said annexation shall be effective on and
after midnight March 27, 1959 and from and after said date
property shall be subject to all laws and ordinances of the
Town of Tukwila then and thereafter in force.

SECTION 111. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication
as provided by law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE HONORABLE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF, TUKWILA, KING COUNTY,
WASHINGTON
We, the undersigned, owners of not less than 75% in value,
according to the assessed valuation for general taxation, of
the property hereinafter described, a plat of which is hereto
attached showing the boundaries of the property sought to be
annexed, do hereby petition for anneeation to the Town of
Tukwila of the following described property, to-wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the
northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Election 35,
township 2'1 north, range L east, W.M., in King County,
Washington, with the center line of south 178th Street;
thence easterly along said center line to its intersection
with the south line of the north half of the north half
of said section, which point of intersection is approei-
mately on the center line of 57th Avenue South; thence at
along said south line, which is also the center line of
South 160th Street, to an intersection of the center line
of South 180th Street and the east line of the west 20
acres of Government Lot 1 of said section, said point beinn
on the City Limits of the Towr of Tukwila as set forth in
Ordinance No. 258 dated 4 :195 thence southerly
along said City Limits line and the center line of Green
River to the easterly prodection of the north line of
Government Lot 7 of said section; thence west in a strainbt
line to the intersection of said north line with the easterly
line of 57th Avenue South; thence southerly along said
easterly line to the south line of the north 00.00 feet
of the south half of the southwest Quarter of said section;
thence west parallel with the north line of tbe south half
of the southwest quarter of said section to the west line
of said section; thence north along said west line to the
southeasterly line of Orillia Road Extension North; thence
northeasterly along said southeasterly line to the east
line of the west quarter of said section; thence north
along said east line to the point of beginning.
which area is contiguous to the Town of Tukwila, King County,
State of Washington.
