Todd (2,4,) MI N U T E S Norma Booher, Recording Secretary T i City Hall Council Chambers Mayor Todd led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order. L. C. BOHRER, MABEL J. HARRIS, GEORGE D. HILL, DORIS E. PHELPS, Council President GARY L. VAN DUSEN. Mayor Todd said the Special Meeting has been called to consider the emergency storm drain repair at South 133rd and 42nd Avenue South. Ted Uomoto, Director of Public Works, said six contractors submitted bids. The low bidder was Gary Merlino Company in the amount of $24,313. The high bid was $39,625. The engineer's estimate was $27,140. He said they had found the Gary Merlino Company to be reliable. The bid is for the entire project. King County will fund the portion of the storm drain line within the county service area as determined at completion of the project. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY VAN DUSEN, THAT COUNCIL ACCEPT THE GARY MERLINO CONSTRUCTION LOW BID FOR THE STORM DRAIN REPAIR. Ted Uomoto, Director of Public Works, said there will be a cost allocation with King County. That area in the County will be at County cost and that in the City will be City cost. Councilman Hill asked the percentage share. Mr. Uomoto said the County share will be 3l the greater portion is in Tukwila. Mr. Uomoto said the funds for the repair will come from the street fund. Councilman Bohrer asked which street fund. Mr. Uomoto said it was the street fund that is not identified for any project. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY PHELPS, THAT PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOVED BY BOHRER, SECONDED BY HARRIS, TO AMEND THE MOTION AND READ THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN ITS ENTIRETY. MOTION CARRIED. City Attorney Larry Hard read a resolution of the City of Tukwila, Washington, declaring an emergency and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for repair service. MOVED BY VAN DUSEN, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY PHELPS, THAT THE BLANK SPACE IN SECTION 2 OF THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE FILLED IN WITH THE WORDS "CITY STREET." MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY HILL, SECONDED BY PHELPS, THAT THE SPECIAL MEETING ADJOURN. MOTION CARRIED.
