TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES
Council President Van Dusen called the Budget Review Meeting of
the Tukwila City Council to order.

GARY L. VAN DUSEN.
Administrative Assistant SHARON WYLIE, City Clerk MAXINE ANDERSON,
Finance Director ALAN DOERSCHEL, Police Chief PATRICK LOWERY.
MOVED BY HILL, SECONDED BY SAUL, THAT PAGE 59 OF THE 1982 PRELIMINARY
BUDGET REMAIN AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED.
Police Chief Lowery explained that he had requested $5,000 for
Professional Services which would provide psychiatric treatment
for Police Department employees. The Mayor's allocation was $2,500.
The Council approved the allocation of $2,500.
The Council approved Page 62 as submitted.
The Council allocation for Overtime was changed to $5,000.
The $4,000 for Professional Services will be moved to Federal
Revenue Sharing.
The Council approved Page 66 as submitted.
The Council allocation for overtime was changed to $38,000.
The Council approved Page 70 as submitted.
The $5,000 for Professional Services will be moved to Federal
Revenue Sharing. Page 71 approved as submitted.
The Council approved Page 75 as submitted.

Police Chief Lowery submitted a maintenance /fuel cost report on
the Police cars. He said he was considering the possibility of
a lease arrangement which would include Renton and Kent. He
said the City could get better prices on police cars if this can
be arranged.
Council President Van Dusen adjourned the Budget Review Meeting,
stating the next discussion would take place on November 17, 1981.
