BUDGET REVIEW Police Training Rm
M I N U T E S
Council President Van Dusen called the Budget Review Meeting of
the Tukwila City Council to order at 7:25 p.m. He requested
Councilman Phelps to act as Chairman of the meeting.
GEORGE D. HILL, J. REID JOHANSON, DORIS E. PHELPS, Council
President GARY L. VAN DUSEN.
Administrative Assistant SHARON WYLIE, Finance Director ALAN
DOERSCHEL, Director of Public Works TED UOMOTO, Public Works
Superintendent TED FREEMIRE.
Ted Uomoto, Director of Public Works, distributed a 93 -page
documentation supporting the Public Works Department budget.
The estimated requirement for 1982, $62,572, was approved as
submitted.
The Council determined to delete $250 for extra labor.
The Council reduced transportation from $400 to $300.
MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT $3,000 BE SPENT FOR
SHELVES AND IT BE IN REVENUE SHARING. MOTION CARRIED, WITH
JOHANSON VOTING NO.
The estimated requirement for 1982, $47,760, was approved
as submitted.

This page approved as submitted. In the matter of Repair
and Maintenance, 013.519.50.23, Public Works Department will
make an adjustment.

Ted Uomoto, Director of Public Works, stated he was requesting
a change in title for the engineers, from Senior Engineer to
Civil Engineer III, and from Junior Engineer to Civil Engineer
II.
MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT THE PUBLIC WORKS
ENGINEERING DESIGNATIONS REMAIN AS THEY EXIST IN 1981 BUDGET
AND WHEN THE ITEM IS STUDIED IN COMMITTEE, THE CHANGE IN
TITLE WILL BE DETERMINED. MOTION CARRIED.
