Subject: Agreement for Kent Valley website financial contribution
As a center of aerospace innovation, with hundreds of established and emerging
companies in Kent Valley communities, I appreciate your agreement and support of
our mutual objective to develop a centralized economic development/business
recruitment website for our region.
While the City of Kent is using lodging tax funds to cover the bulk of the site's
development expense, your City's willingness to partner in its development and
contribute financially is greatly appreciated.
By working together, we not only strengthen our competitive position, but our
marketing efforts and dollars are maximized.
TERM: This agreement will be for the development of the Kent Valley business
recruitment website by web development firm, The Medium. Under contract with
the City of Kent, the site's launch is anticipated in August 2019. With contributions
from the participating jurisdictions, the City of Kent will be solely responsible for
development, ongoing content, and maintenance of the website.
DELIVERABLES: Website components include:
• Information about Kent Valley communities' amenities, demographic data,
and specialized workforce
• A commercial real estate directory i.e. GIS Webtech showcasing Kent Valley
opportunities
• A business directory, utilizing business license data, to illustrate the high
number of innovative companies, and their specialized talent base
• Site development on WordPress platform
• Site optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• SEO plugin and setup with specified keywords
• Google Analytics installation
FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: The cost to develop the website, including its
annual maintenance, is $52,000. Funds will be contributed as follows, and will be
