The
Project
The
Impacts
The City of Tukwila and its contractor, Nordvind Company LLC, wilt be
performing repairs to the 196th/200th Street Bridge over the Green
River between now and the end of 2019. This work requires a full
closure of the roadway between the cities of Tukwila and Kent.
Full road closure to vehicular traffic is expected to begin October 7
and last for approximately 8 weeks. The road is anticipated to
reopen to traffic by Thanksgiving. Finish -up construction work is
scheduled to extend into December.
Expect delays on the surface streets nearest the project.
Pedestrian/bike travel through the work zone will be allowed during most
of the project. Detour routes will be posted for each phase of the work
to provide appropriate travel information to commuters.
