1. Introductions were made.
2. Tent City 3 is a self -managed homeless encampment, that adheres to strict code of conduct, moving to
approved/sanctioned locations every 3 months. After leaving the Congregational United Church of Christ,
they moved temporarily to an unapproved Ravenna site. Riverton Park United Methodist Church (RPUMC)
in Tukwila welcomed TC3 for a 3 month stay from September 7th through December 7th. Prior to move in, a
wide range of City of Tukwila staff, Pastor Jan, TC3 residents and SHARE/WHEEL organizers held a
logistics meeting to ensure that TC3 would be in compliance with health and safety concerns (i.e. egress,
electrical, sanitation). There are currently 8 children at TC3 and under 60 adults. TC3 residents have been
good neighbors at RPUMC and to the surrounding community.
3. Census 2020 is beginning in April. Support organizations are hiring staff to provide outreach and education
for isolated populations. Efforts will be increased to ensure that everyone is counted. Special emphasis will
focus on reducing fear related to completing the census.
4. September I&R was reviewed and discussed.
5. HS Advisory board members were given updates about transitions within funded agencies.
6. Year-end protocol was reviewed.
7. December meeting is set for Thursday December 12th, 2:00pm-4:00pm - location TBD.
