I have determined that the proposed sign does not meet the requirements of Tukwila's Sign Code for the following reason(s): The wall where the sign will be installed does not qualify for a regular wall sign, as it does not have an exterior public entrance. The wall does qualify for an "incentive sign," but the maximum size for an incentive sign on a 558 sq ft wall face is14sgft. This is not a final decision. Your permit application is still under review and may be revised. You may submit revisions via e-mail to jonathon.wintersPtukwilawa.gov. No new permit or additional fee is required. Any revisions you submit will require additional time to review. If additional revisions or modifications to the project plans have not been received by 1/20/2012, your permit will be denied. Additional Information: For your previous permit for Patricia Benca, DDS, 1 allowed a 20 sq ft sign on the South West wall face and a 13.9 sq ft sign on the West wall face. Rainier Cancer Center would be allowed a 20 sq ft sign on the North West wall face (where their entrance is located) and a 14 sq ft sign on the West wall face (13.7 rounded to the nearest square foot). If you decide to install two signs, the second sign would require additional plans and an additional permit fee. If you have any questions about the permitting process, please call 206-431-2164 and reference the permit number listed above. Sincerely, Jon Morrison Winters Department of Community Development City of Tukwila jonathon.winters@tukwilawa.Rov 206-431-2164 1 Jon Morrison Winters From: Jon Morrison Winters Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2011 10:33 AM To: newpermits@berryneonsigns.com Subject: Sign Permit Application #S11-097 for Rainier Cancer Center Dear Sign Permit Applicant, The City of Tukwila Department of Community Development has received your application for a sign permit. This will serve as an official notice of completeness for your permit application. Your permit application is currently under review. You should receive written notice of the status of your application in approximately 3-5 business days. Although we strive to issue sign permits as quickly as possible (typically within one week), you should allow up to 120 days to receive your permit. If we are unable to issue your permit within 120 days, you will receive a written statement of explanation as to why this time limit has not been met and an estimated date for issuance of the notice of final decision.
