I'm just checking to see if you have any updates on these two signs that we talked about a couple of weeks ago. For the Ditch Witch sign, I was waiting on the permit fee to add a fourth sign to the permit. I also have a concern about the building entrances. I looked through our previous correspondence, and you had confirmed that there was an exterior public entrance on the North side of the building, but there did not appear to be one when I went out there for the inspection. If there is no exterior public entrance, the sign on this wall would be out of compliance. For the Buybacks sign, I don't recall if you ever confirmed whether or not you did the reface of the freestanding pole sign, or if that was done by a different contractor. I never got a permit for the freestanding sign, only for the wall signs. I'm just following up on some inspections that I did recently for some of your projects here in Tukwila. I have questions on two recent projects: Project for Buybacks at 235 Strander Blvd, sign permit S11-123. As I recall, when you submitted this permit, you originally proposed refacing the freestanding pylon sign in addition to installing the new wall signs. I indicated in my permit approval that you would need a separate permit to reface the pylon sign. I never got this permit, but the sign was refaced. If you did the reface, you need to apply for a permit immediately to avoid a code enforcement action against your client. Project for Ditch Witch at 12900 48th Ave S, sign permit S11-115. This permit was approved for three new wall signs. It expires soon (tomorrow, actually), so I went out there to inspect the signs a couple weeks ago. I inspected three signs, but I recently noticed that there are four signs installed here. If you installed all four signs, you need a new permit, including an additional permit fee, for the fourth sign. You can also request an extension of permit S11-115 and add the fourth sign to that permit, but it will still require an additional permit fee, as the fees are currently charged on a per sign basis. Thanks for your help with these issues. I hope we can get them resolved soon.
