You forgot to subtract 500 from the EBF. The formula given in the chart is: (EBF-500) x .04 + 25 square feet. In your case: 531.25-500 = 31.25 31.25 x .04 = 1.25 1.25 + 25 = 26.25. I have determined that the proposed sign does not meet the requirements of Tukwila's Sign Code for the following reason(s): The sign is too large. With an exposed building face of approximately 531 sq ft, the maximum allowable sign area is 26.25 sq ft. You are proposing a sign of 45 sq ft. This is not a final decision. Your permit application is still under review and may be revised. You may submit revisions via e-mail to ionathon.winters@tukwilawa.gov. No new permit or additional fee is required. Any revisions you submit will require additional time to review. If additional revisions or modifications to the project plans have not been received by November 11, 2012, your permit will be cancelled due to inactivity. If you have any questions about the permitting process, please call 206-431-2164 and reference the permit number listed above. This will serve as an official notice of completeness for your permit application. Your permit application is currently under review. You should receive written notice of the status of your application in approximately 3-5 business days. Although we review sign permits as quickly as possible (often within one week), you should allow for plenty of time in your project schedule for permit review. If we are unable to issue your permit within 120 days, you will receive a written statement of explanation as to why this time limit has not been met and an estimated date for issuance of a notice of final decision. Any modification to project plans occurring before issuance of the permit shall be deemed a new application for the purpose of the 120-day permit clock when such modification results in a substantial change in the project's review requirements, as determined by the Department. If you have any questions about the permitting process or to check the status of your application, please call 206-431- 2164 and reference the permit number listed above.
