Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of this requirement. 8: All construction noise to be in compliance with Chapter 8.22 of the City of Tukwila Municipal Code. A copy can be obtained at City Hall in the office of the City Clerk. 9: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center. 10: Preparation before concrete placement: Water shall be removed from place of deposit before concrete is placed unless a tremie is to be used or unless otherwise permitted by the building official. All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the following departments: BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Allen Johannessen at 206-433-7163 if you have questions regarding these comments. (GENERAL NOTE) PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size I I x 17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size. New revised plan sheets shall be the same size sheets as those previously submitted.) (If applicable) All Structural Drawings and structural calculations sheets to be stamped (original signed wet stamp, not copied) by Washington State licensed architect, structural engineer or civil engineer. (BUILDING REVIEW NOTES) 1. Provide note to specify bottom of footing to rest on solid undisturbed soil, a minimum of 12 inches below finish grade and to extend concrete above the finish grade to allow for water runoff. 2. Provide a more specific detail for the hanger attachment to the house framing for the roof support beam. 3. Specify manufactured roof trusses. Specify with details for over framing on the existing roof, and include notes to remove existing roofing down to the existing roof sheathing for roof over framing. Provide access for ventilation to the attic area of over framing for the new roof. 4. Also show ceiling finishes for the truss section and enclosing the over framing section at the house exterior. 5. Show some method for lateral seismic bracing for the roof and beam to extend down to the post framing at the exterior end of the deck roof. 6. It appears there is a fireplace chimney adjacent to the new roof section. The beam at that point shows extending into the chimney. Provide clarity as to what that chimney construction consist of and how the beam shall connect at that point. Also show a cricket framed in to prevent rain water and snow/ice buildup at the chimney. Please address the comments above in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation.
