SUBJECT: Geographic Public Safety Data
BACKGROUND
The Public Safety Committee has had several discussions in 2019 on how the Council can
effectively use location -based data to inform policy decisions.
Chair Robertson has requested discussion at the November 18 meeting to look at examples
from previous reports as well as information available on Community Crime Map. Committee
members will have the opportunity to discuss these examples with Police and Fire staff and
provide direction on next steps.
