The City would enact this ordinance after a nine -month phase -in to allow the community to adjust and stores to run out of existing stock of plastic bags. The City would help with outreach efforts. • Sewer & Surface Water Maintenance and Operations Specialist, Roy Busch update on hiring and internal practices in Public Works. • Director of Human Resource, Juan Padilla provided an update on HR changes. • Highlight ESJC successful wins • Work Plan 2019 and 2020 • Legislation target overview • Community feedback and knowledge VI Miscellaneous VII Adjournment (6:48 p.m.) Tukwila Equity and Social Justice Commission Boards and Commission IMPORTANT NOTE: Items often shift meeting dates; please review published agendas to ensure items are scheduled. Commissions Updates Arts Commission 2020 Retreat Planning - Arts Commissioners brainstormed a list of things that they would like to talk about at the upcoming retreat. Mayor recommend Shawn Belyea be appointed to the Tukwila Arts Commission. Tukwila Library Advisory Board Fall 2019 Initiatives; truancy concerns and 2020 workplan Park Commission The Commission reviewed lists of proposed names of parks and discussed the idea of a tagline for smaller parks in Tukwila as a branding or marketing idea. PROS Plan Update - Robert Eaton provided an update and the status of the PROS Plan work, highlighting the preliminary key findings from the needs assessment and next steps. Acquisition Update - A brief summary of the acquisition process for the Raisebeck and Davies parcels was shared; both are currently moving forward hrough the various steps at this time.
