BACKGROUND Pyro and Fire FX, LLC on behalf of the Seattle Seawolves Rugby Team has requested approval for their fireworks permit for the Seawolves 2020 season home games, pursuant to RCW 70.77 and TMC 8.12.020. Pyro and Fire FX will be using the devices similar to the Seawolves 2019 season. DISCUSSION The Seattle Seawolves Rugby Team would like to use fireworks during the opening ceremonies. Star -fire Sports is supportive of the use of fireworks and has provided written documentation for this support. Staff has reviewed the submitted documents and supports the request. These fireworks are similar to those used during Sounders and Seahawks games. Please note that the pyrotechnic display for the Seawolves games do not have the size and complexity that are used during past July 4th events at Fort Dent. FINANCIAL IMPACT None RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the application be approved at the December 9, 2019, Finance Committee meeting and then forwarded to C.O.W. that same day.
