Welcome and Introductions
Chair Hougardy welcomed
everyone to the meeting and
asked everyone to go around
the room introducing
themselves.

Special Presentations
Tukwila International Blvd.
D. Speck provided a presentation
and Tukwila Village
on Tukwila International Blvd and
Tukwila Village. The presentation
discussed the 'history of the 'TIB
and how the City has been
working over the last twenty years
to transform the area from a
transportation corridor into a
neighborhood. The City was
involved in a large criminal

investigation several years ago,
which resulted in the seizure and
purchase of several properties
along TIB. The City also was a
partner in the Tukwila Village
development, which is where the
Sullivan Center (the location of
the meeting) occurred. Through
this partnership the City was able
to leverage senior housing (bath
market and affordable), and new
library, and public meeting space.
It's hoped that this can help be a
draw for the area. LTAC members
discussed naming of the
neighborhood and how to best
"brand the area."

B. Miles discussed the idea of
