REPEALED Settion(s) Repealed Repealed by Res # 2017 City of Tuloffil Washington Resolution0- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING THE TITLES, DUTIES, AND SCHEDULE OF THE STANDING CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES FOR 2020, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1956. WHEREAS, RCW 42.30.030 states that all meetings of the governing body of a public agency shall be open and public; and WHEREAS, all persons shall be permitted to attend any meeting of the governing body of a public agency; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City Council to inform the community of all City Council Committee meeting days, times and locations; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to evaluate the standing committee framework each year in an effort to appropriately balance the current policy work of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council strives to operate at the highest level of functionality and efficiency; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Pursuant to City of Tukwila Ordinance No. 2024 and Tukwila Municipal Code Section 2.04.180, there are four standing committees of the Council, consisting of three members each. The Council President shall appoint the membership of each committee and the Committee Chair by the second Regular Meeting of each year. All Council Committee meetings are open to the public. The Council Committee meeting schedule with locations is as follows: 1. Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meetings shall be held on the first and third Monday of every month in Suite 100 of the 6300 Building, Foster conference room, 6300 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, commencing at 5:30 p.m. This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to transportation, traffic, streets, water, sewer, surface water, power, street lighting and signals, solid waste and recycling, river basins and levees, telecommunications, shops facilities, fleet, and other ad hoc matters as assigned. 2. Planning and Economic Development Committee meetings shall be held on the first and third Monday of every month at Tukwila City Hall in the Hazelnut conference room, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, commencing at 5:30 p.m. This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to housing policies and programs, planning and land use, building and development regulations, code enforcement, economic planning and tourism, environment, sustainability, and other ad hoc matters as assigned. 3. Finance Committee meetings shall be held on the second and fourth Monday of every month at Tukwila City Hall in the Hazelnut conference room, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, commencing at 5:30 p.m. This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to financial management and fiscal operations of the City, administrative services, personnel, compensation, technology systems, government performance, public records, and other ad hoc matters as assigned. 4. Community Services and Safety Committee meetings shall be held on the second and fourth Monday of every month in Suite 100 of the 6300 Building, Foster conference room, 6300 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, commencing at 5:30 p.m. This Committee will provide policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to police, fire, emergency services, municipal court, public safety facilities, animals, community engagement, human services, parks, recreation, library, public art, social equity and justice, census, and other ad hoc matters as assigned. Section 3. In the event a City holiday falls on a Monday, there will be no Council Committee meetings during that week. Time sensitive matters may be placed directly on a Committee of the Whole agenda, or a Committee meeting may convene with approval by all members. Section 4. In the event there is a fifth Monday in a month, there will be no Council Committee meetings during that week. Section 5. Repealer. Resolution No. 1956 is hereby repealed. The resolution had bwrong but | have been using services everywhere else, and when CM Quinn described the committees under miscellaneous last night he said it as a plural as I'd intended. | believe itdoes slightly alter the meaning. Can this be a scriveners correction, or alternately can we do nothing with the resolution and use "services" in practical use everywhere else? Thoughts? | am very sorry | missed this.
