AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA AMENDING SECTION
ONE OF ORDINANCE NO.255 OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 20th day of January, 1953,
Ordinance No. 255 was adopted by the Council of the Town of
Tukwila, which said ordinanced annexed certain property to the
Town, and
WHEREAS, when said Ordinance was submitted to the Oounty
Engineer and County Assessor it became apparent that a better
description of the area annexed could be used, and whereas, upon
conference between the attorney for the petitioners and said
county officials such new description has been agreed upon, and
whereas, said new description does not in any manner change the area
annexed to the Town but is merely a more accurate and comprehensive
description of the area as shown upon the sketch attached to the
Petition for Annexation,
Now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TUN COTJNCIL OF TUKWILA
as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 255 reading as
follows:
"That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following described
property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of Tukwila,
to-wit:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the easterly
prolongation of the northwesterly line of South 137th
Street with the southwesterly line of Secondary State
Highway No. 5 -M (said point of intersection being in the
northwesterly boundary of the town of Tukwila); thence
northwesterly, along said southwesterly highway line, to
the easterly line of 42nd Avenue South; thence northerly,
along said easterly line, and its northerly prolongation,
to the thread of the Duwamish River; thence easterly,
along said thread, to an intersection with thesouthwesterly
prolongation of the northwesterly line of lot 32, in block
13, Allentown Addition to the City of Seattle, according to
plat recorded in volume 12 of plats, page 100, in Ling
County, Washington; thence northeasterly, along said south-
westerly prolongation and along said northwesterly line of
lot 32, to the most northerly corner of said lot; thence
southeasterly, along the northeasterly line of said block
13 and its southeasterly prolongation to the thread of the
Duwamish River (said thread being the northerly boundary
of the town of Tukwila-) thence westerly and southerly,
following the boudary of said town of Tukwila, to the
northeasterly line of Secondary State Highway -No. 5 -M;
thence. southeasterly, along said northeasterly line, and
following the southwesterly boundary of said town of
Tukwila, to an intersection with the easterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of South 137th Street; thence
westerly, along said prolongation to the point of beginning;
Shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
be and the.same.hereby is repealed and re- enacted as follows:

along said thread, to an intersection with the southwesterly
prolongation of the northwesterly line of lot 32, in block

County, +ashington; thence northeasterly, along said south

of the town of Tukwila); thence westerly and southerly,
following the boundary of said town of Tukwila, to the
northeasterly line of Secondary State Highway No. 5 -M;
thence southeasterly, along laid northeasterly line, and
following the southwesterly boundary of said town of
Tukwila, to an intersection with the easterly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of South 137th Street; thence
westerly, along said prolongation to the point of beginning;
shall be and the sane hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 11. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five days from and after its passage, approval and
legal publication as provided by law.
