Budget SISTER CITY CQMMITTEE M I N U T E S 3 g'DD City Hall Council Chambers Council President Bohrer called the Budget Hearing Meeting to order. EDGAR D. BAUCH, LIONEL C. BOHRER (Council President), JOE H. DUFFIE, MABEL J. HARRIS, WENDY MORGAN. Mayor VAN DUSEN, Finance Director ALAN DOERSCHEL, City Attorney LARRY HARD, Deputy City Attorney W00. Council President Bohrer stated the Public Hearing on the 1983 Budget will be held during the Regular Meeting on December 6, 1982. Mayor Van Dusen presen4� Mayor's budget. He stated he would like the position g Administrative Assistant to be Administrative Assistant /Personnel Officer. There were no comments on the Mayor's Budget. Council President Bohrer stated the Council would like to add the Research Analyst as a full time position at salary grade 7. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY BAUCH, THAT TRAVEL BE INCREASED TO $2500. MOVED BY MORGAN, NO SECOND, TO AMEND THE MOTION AND INCREASE TRAVEL TO $2100. MOTION FAILED, NO SECOND. *MOTION CARRIED, WITH BOHRER VOTING NO. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY BAUCH, TO INCREASE MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET REQUEST TO $500. MOTION CARRIED, WITH BOHRER VOTING NO. MOVED BY HARRIS, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, TO ACCEPT THE CITY COUNCIL BUDGET AS AMENDED. MOTION CARRIED, WITH BOHRER VOTING NO. City Attorney Hard explained the City Attorney Budget. He stated he meets on Tuesday morning each week with the Mayor; Deputy City Attorney Wood attended the Council and Committee of the Whole Meetings on Monday nights, and Attorney Firm acts as Prosecutor with the Municipal Court. He suggested the $113,000 for the City Attorney be as follows: $28,800 as Retainer $62,100 as Municipal Court fee $22,100 as Other Legal $113,000 Added to this would be $2,800 for miscellaneous, with a total of $115,800. MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY BAUCH, THAT COUNCIL ACCEPT THE CITY ATTORNEY'S BUDGET AS PRESENTED BY MR. HARD. MOTION CARRIED. Planning Commission Budget Page 2, Printout Mr. Doerschel explained the Planning Commission needs increased money to attend the National Planning Commission meeting. The fee is $198 per person. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT PLANNING COMMISSION MISCELLANEOUS BE INCREASED TO $1200 AND TRAVEL BE INCREASED TO $200. MOTION CARRIED.
