THE TOWN OF TUKWILA UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 128 OF
TEE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE, OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 Of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition in writing,
asking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila hereinafter more particularly
described has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 per cent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal
description of the property and was accompanied by ,plat or drawing
outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
"JHEREAS, the Town Council has heretofore fixed February 17,
1958, at the hour of 8 :00 P. L in the Council bhambers in the
Town Hall, Tukwila, 4ashington, as the time and place for public
hearing, upon such petition, ancL a copy of said notice was published
in the Renton Chronicle, a legal newspaper of general circulation
in the Town of Tukwila, and w-s posted in three public places within
the territory proposed for annexation, which notices specified the
time and place of such hearing and invited interested persons to
appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for saici hearing, the council
approved the petition for annexation and set midnight, kebrua.ry F n th,
19u3, as the effective date of annexation,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Town council of luhwila,
as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 253
SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Lhapter 128 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the f lown of
Tukwila, to -wit:
That portion of sections 55 and 56, township 23 north
range 4 east, W.M. described as follows:
13eginning at the intersection of the centerline of
south 180th Street and the centerline of 6ecoudary State
Highway No. 5-M I-5 , thence southerly along the centerline
of said highway to a point that is 1 °orth 11 46' mast,
1115.77 feet from the southeast corner of section 05,
township 23 north, range 4 east, W.m., thence forth 88 °27'
West to the centerline of the white river, thence northerly
along the centerline of the white giver to an intersection
with the extension southerly of the east line of t'Le west 20
acres of Government Lot 1 of said section 35, thence northerly
along said east line to an intersection with the centerline of
South 150th Street designated by Ordinance No. 247, Town of
Tukwila, as the town limit line, thence easterly along said
centerline and said limit line extended to the point of beginning
of this description,
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
>>ECTION 11. fthe said annexation snail be effective on and
after midnight 1 'ebruary f„ 1953 and from ana after said date
property shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the
Town of Tukwila then and thereafter in force.
SuCIION 111. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication
as provided by law.
