GUESTS Mayor Christine Himes, Redmond. Mayor Bob Roegner, Auburn.
Mayor Himes, Redmond, said her city is 14 square miles in
size, has 180 employees and has a daytime population of
50,000. They are under the Mayor Council form of govern-
ment. She feels this form is very responsive to the people.
Mayor Roegner said Auburn has a population of 32,000 people.
The city has 250 employees. In the Mayor Council form of
government the citizens have access to the Mayor.
Both Mayors explained how their cities are run, how they
communicate with their City Councils and the policies
they use in working with their Department Heads.
Council was interested and asked many questions.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
