THE TOWN OF TUKWILA UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF Chapter 128 of
THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Sessio
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition in writing
asking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila hereinafter more particularly
described has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 per cent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal
description of the property and was accompanied by 'plat or drawing
outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has heretofore fixed February 10th,
1958, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the
Town Hall, Tukwila, Washington, as the time and place for public
hearing upon such petition, and a copy of said notice was published
in the Renton Chronicle, a legal newspaper of general circulation
in the Town of Tukwila, and was posted in three public places within
the territory proposed for annexation, which notices specified the
time and place of such hearing and invited interested persons to
appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing, the"Counci'
approved the petition for annexation and set midnight February 21,
1958, as the effective date of the annexation,.
Now tnerefore, BE IT OORDAINED by the °Town* Council off
Tukwila, as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 257
SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington. for 1945 the following
described property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of
Tukwila, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Government mot 6
in Section 25, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M. and the Saster17
bank of the Green River; thence Easterly along the South line of said
Government hot 6 and along the South line of the Northwest of the
Southeast 4 of said Section 25 to the Southeast: corner of said North-
west 4 of the Southeast g; thence Northerly along the East line of
the Northwest 4 of the Southeast a and along the East line of the
Southwest of the Northeast of said Section 25 to the North line
of the South 30 acres of said Southwest g of the Northeast ,7 thence
Westerly along said North line of the South 30 acres and along the
North line of the South 990 feet of the Southeast of the Northwest
of said Section 25 to the West line of said Southeast of the North-
west 4f. thence continuing west to the west bank of the Green River,
which is the Easterly limits of the Town of Tukwila, thence southerly
along said limits of the Town of Tukwila to a point bearing west from
the point of beginning; thence east to the point of beginning,_
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the. Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 11. The said annexation shall be effective on and
after midnight February 21, 1958 and from and after said date
property shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the
Town of Tukwila then and thereafter in force.
SECTION 111. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication
as provided by law.
