Project Description: This request is for a variance to the City's Noise Standards (TMC
8.22). Construction noise associated with the development of a new 200,000 square
foot distribution center is expected to exceed the City's maximum permissible sound
level standard of 70 dB(A) for Industrial land. On occasion, sound levels may reach up
to 80 dB(A). Construction is expected to continue for a 10-month period. Work hours
will be from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM to 813M on week-
ends and holidays.
Your written comments on the project are requested and can be delivered to Dept. of Community Development, 6300 Southcenter Blvd, Suite 100, Tukwila
WA 98188. Comments must be received by 5:00 PM on May 5. You may view the application through the City's permit portal (https://
permitting.tukwilawa.gov/) or by contacting the project planner listed below (City offices are closed to the public during the COVID-19 restrictions). This ap-
plication requires a public hearing, which will be scheduled in the future. Notice of that date will be sent to parties of interest and property owners of record
and tenants of property within 500 feet of the site.
