Project Description: The City of Tukwila is completing a stormwater project to address area
flooding caused by a frequently plugged debris barrier inlet. The project includes: grading to in-
stall a new debris barrier and catch basin type 2; the addition of surface stabilization along the
bank; and the removal or trimming of 7-8 cottonwood trees 6" to 30" in diameter, as well as the
removal of blackberry bushes and ivy growing along the slope. Site restoration will be completed
in accordance with a vegetation plan.
Your written comments on the project are requested and can be delivered to Dept. of Community Development, 6300 Southcenter Blvd, Suite
100, Tukwila WA 98188. Comments must be received by 5:00 PM on May 5, 2020. You may view the application through the City's permit
portal (https://permitting.tukwilawa.gov/) or by contacting the project planner listed below (City offices are closed to the public during the
COVID-19 restrictions). The planner can also provide a copy of any decision, accept your comment on the project, and provide information on
your appeal rights.
