Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESSAGENDA
A. 202015t Quarter Police Department Report
Chief Linton presented the report, covering 15t Quarter highlights, significant operations, and
crime statistics. Committee members and staff had a discussion about current events
including the current wave of protests initiated by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Chief Linton reviewed a memo to the Council titled "A Comprehensive Report on Community
Policing, Use of Force and the Impacts of Bias on Our Diverse Communities," addressing the
use -of -force model, oversight and training, community engagement strategy, and impacts of
the Washington State Law Enforcement Training & Community Services Act.

B. 202015t Quarter Fire Department Report
Chief Wittwer reported on items of significance during the first quarter, includingcall statistics,
operations, and staffing.
