Chair McLeod called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESSAGENDA
A. South King Housing & Homelessness Partners Progress Report & Work Plan
Ms. Filippo presented the progress report and draft 2021-2022 work plan.

• Explore use of City -owned property for development of affordable housing as a potential
priority

B. Grant Acceptance: Transit Oriented Development HousingStrategies trategies Plan
Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with ECONorthwest to accept $80,000 for
preparation of Tukwila's Transit Oriented Development Housing Strategies Plan. Funding is
through the Department of Commerce HB 1923 opportunity.

C. Lodging Tax Funding Application: City of Tukwila
Staff is seeking Council decision on a funding request from the City of Tukwila for $104,170.00
for the SavingLocalKC.com campaign.

D. Other June Lodging Tax Funding Requests
Staff provided an overview of other funding requests approved at the June 12 Lodging Tax
Advisory Committee meeting that will be presented at the next committee meeting ($195,000
from Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority, $75,250 from City of Tukwila, $50,000 from
Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce).

Return to Committee.
E. Grant Opportunities for Business Recovery
Committee members and staff discussed various grant opportunities related to COVID-19
business recovery.

Return to committee as needed.
