Resolution 863 endorsing the 1982 King County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. Prop. Ord. concerning water rates, amending Ord. No. 1190. M I N U T E S City Hall Council Chambers Council President Harris, in the absence of Mayor Van Dusen, led the audience and City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance and called the Regular Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order. EDGAR D. BAUCH, LIONEL C. BOHRER, JOE H. DUFFIE, MABLE J. HARRIS (Council President), GEORGE D. HILL, WENDY MORGAN, DORIS PHELPS. Alan Doerschel (Finance Director), Lt. Pat Phelan (Police Department). Council President Harris stated Councilmen Bauch, Duffie, Harris, Hill, and Morgan are scheduled to meet with the Duwamish Improvement Club at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 1983. Council President Harris reported the City Attorney is researching the legality of the City Council Analyst position and whether or not the Council can hire or contract employees. Council President Harris presented service pins and gave a brief summary of the individual's personal history and accomplishments in the Police Department to the following officers: Melvin R. Miller 5 years David A. Gidlof 10 years Douglas D. Partlow 10 years Steven L. Robinson 10 years a. Approval of Minutes: Special Meeting held March 9, 1983; Special Meeting held March 28, 1983; Regular Meeting held April 4, 1983. b. Approval of Vouchers: Claims Fund Vouchers #14534 through 14667 Current Fund 21,305.46 Golf Course Spec. Rev. 41,524.45 Street Fund 57,516.79 Fed. Shared Revenue 2,669.25 Water Fund 6,600.34 Sewer Fund 43,629.81 $173,246.10 MOVED BY HILL, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION CARRIED. Council President Harris, in the absence of the City Attorney, read a resolution of the City of Tukwila, Washington, endorsing the 1983 King County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan by title only. MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, THAT THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS READ. Councilman Hill said he would like to go on record as expressing a dislike of the plan. *MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY PHELPS, THAT THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE CONCERNING WATER RATES BE ADDED TO THE AGENDA OF THE MEETING. MOTION CARRIED. TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING April 18, 1983 Page 2 MISCELLANEOUS ADJOURNMENT 7:45 P.M. Prop. Ord. concerning water rates, amending Ord. #1190 contd. Panoramic Photos recommended by the Arts Commission. Councilman Bauch said the proposed ordinance is in the same form as the ordinance that was previously considered. It now has the figures in it. The Public Works Committee has discussed the ordinance and voted in favor of it. It was a subject of discussion at the recent Council Retreat. MOVED BY BOHRER, SECONDED BY HILL, THAT THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION CARRIED. Council President Harris read an ordinance of the City of Tukwila, Washington concerning water rates, amending Ordinance No. 1190 by title only. MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, THAT THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE BE ADOPTED AS READ. MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT COUNCIL ENDORSE THE ARTS COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO PURCHASE THE PANORAMIC PHOTOS FOR THE DIAMOND JUBILEE FOR TUKWILA. P10TION CARRIED.
