REPEALED BY ORD 356 AND 579
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA REGULATING THE ERECTION,
CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, DE-
MOLITION, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA,
AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES IN THE TOWN
OF TUKWILA, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION
OF FEL::S THEREFOR; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF,
DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES, REVISING TABLE NO. 3 -A,
"BUILDING PERMIT FEES" AND SECTION NO. 205 "VI4ATIONS AND PEN-
ALTIES"; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 179 OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA. AND
ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
THE TOWN COUNCIL CsIF` THE TOWN OF TUKWILA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are
on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Tukwila, beins
marked and designated as "Uniform Building Code Volume 1, 1953
Edition, published tri- annually and as amended, by the International
Conference of Building `officials be and the same is hereby adopted
as the building code of the £own of Tukwila for regulating the erect-
ion, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal,
demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, rieight, area, and
maintenance of all buildings and /or structures in the Town of Tukwila,
providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, pro-
viding penalties for violation of such code, declaring and establishing
fire zones; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions and terms of such 'Uniform Building Code, Volume 1, 1958
Edition, published tri- annually, and as amended, by the International
Conference of Building Officials", on file in the office of the Town
Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and matte a part hereof as if
fully set out in this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. That Table No. 3 -A, building Permit Fees, of this
Uniform building Code, Volume 1, 195b Edition, pizbli.shed 'tri- annually
and `as amended, by the International conference of Building Officials
shall be changed to read as follows:

SECTION 3. 'llhat Section G05, lIViola tions and Penal tiesll, of the
lIUniform Building f..-o.de.; Volullle :J-, 1958 Edition, published tri-annually
and, as amen.ded, by thy International eonf:erence of Building Officialsll,
shall be changed tG read as follows:
Section 205. It shall be unlawful. for any person, firm or cor-
poration to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve,
remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any
building or structure in the .town~ or cause the same to be done, con-
trary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this Code.
i-my person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and eacE such
person shall be deenled guilty of a separate offense for each and every
day or portion thereof during wl~ich any violation of any of the pro-
visions of this Code is committed, continued, or permitted, and upon
conviction of any such violation such person s~all be punishable by
a fine of not more than 4>100.00, or by imprisonment for not more than
30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. That Ordinance ~o. 179 of the Town of Tukwila entitled
111m Ordinance relating to the Hegulation and Construction, Alter'ation
and/or Hernoval of Jjuildings and otl;:).er utructures including Plumbing
and ~lectrical Wiring, establishing Districts and Zones and ~tandards
of 00nstruction in connection tllerewith; requiring Permits, providing
Penalties and hepealing any conflicting \Jrdinances", and all other
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 5. That the entire incorporated area of the Town of
Tukwila is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as a Fire
District ana said fire district s~all be known and designated as Fire
Zones 1, 2, and 3, and each such zone shall include such territory or
portions of said town as illustrated, outlined, and designated on a
certain map on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Tovm of
Tukwila being marked and designated as 11 J:i'ire Zones of the frOWn of
Tukwilali, which is hereby adopted as the fire zoning map of the 'l'own

of Tukwila for the appli~ation of the regulations included in the
IIUniform building Code, Volume 1, 1958 Edition, published tr-annually
and as amended, by the International Conference of Building Officialsll.
SECTION 6. ~lat if any clause, sentence, section, provision or
part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be unconstitutional or
invalid for any reason by any 00urt of competent jurisdiction, such
judgement shall not impair or invalidate the rema~nder of this ordi-
nance which shall remain in full force and effect thereaft er.
This ordinance shall be in full force aDd effect five days from
and after its passage, signing and posting as required by law.
