Description of Incident
Two Men Shot in Early Morning Bar Fight
A fist fight between two women in the parking lot of the Annex Tavern spread and
escalated to gunfire. One man was shot several times causing serious injuries; he is in
critical condition. Another man was shot once in the leg and is expected to be okay.
Both men are being treated at Harborview.
Police officers arrived just minutes after the shots were fired; the suspect had already
fled. Officers found a confusing scene with the wounded man lying in the parking lot
and people running in all directions. The scene was quickly brought under control and
medics came in to treat the victim.
Detectives were on scene all morning processing evidence and interviewing witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing and we are not releasing details at this point.
