AN ORDINANCE IF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA, ANNEXING PROPERTY TO
THE TOWN OF TUKWILA UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 128 OF
THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945,
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 a petition in writing
it-eking for the annexation of certain property contiguous to the
town limits of the Town of Tukwila hereinafter more particularly
des-eribed has been filed with the Town Council, signed by the
owners of not less than 75 per cent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general- taxation, of the property for which
annexation.is petitioned, which petition sets forth a legal des-
cription of the property and was accompanied by plat or drawing
outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the Town. Council has heretofore fixed January 13, 1958,
at the hour of 7: 00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Towri Hal,
Tukwila, Washington, as the time and place for public hearing upon such
ietition and a copy of said notice was published in the Renton
Chronicle, a legal newspaper of general circulation in the Town of
Tukwila, and was posted in three public places within the territory
proposed for amnexation, notices specified the time and place
of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice
.approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing, the Council
approved the petition for annexation and set midnight, January 24,
Z95S, as the effective date of the annexation
NOW therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of Tukwila,
as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
Session laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following des-
cribed property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of Tukwila,
to-wit:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the easterly
prolongation of the northwesterly line of South 137th
Street with the southwesterly line of Secondary State
Highway No. 5 -M (said point of intersection being in the
northwesterly boundary of the town of Tukwila); thence
northwesterly, along said southwesterly highway line, to
the easterly line of 42nd Avenue South; thence northerly,
along said easterly line, and its northerly prolongation,
to the thread of the Duwamish River; thence easterly,
along said thread, to an intersection with the southwesterly
prolongation of the northwesterly line of lot 32, in block
13, Allentown Addition to the City of Seattle, according to
plat recorded in volume 12 of plats, page 100, in King
County, Washington; thence northeasterly, along said south-
westerly prolongation and along said northwesterly line of
lot 32, to the most northerly corner of said lot; thence
southeasterly, along the northeasterly line of said block
13 and its southeasterly prolongation to the thread of the
Duwamish River (said thread being the northerly boundary
of the town of Tukwila); thence westerly and southerly,
following the boundary of said town of Tukwila, to the
northeasterly line of Secondary State Highway No. 5 -M;
thence southeasterly, along said northeasterly line, and
following the southwesterly boundary of said town of
Tukwila, to an intersection with the easterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of South 137th Street; thence
westerly, along said prolongation to the point of beginning;
shall be and the same hereby Is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
SECTION 11. The'saidaannexation shall be effective on and
after Midnight January 24, 1958 and from and after said date
property shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the
Town of Tukwi],a, then and thereafter in force.
SECTION 111. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication
as provided by law.

STATE OF WASHINGTON.
We, the undersigned, owners of not less than Seventy -five
Percent (75%) in value according to the assessed valuation for
general taxation of the property hereinafter described, a plat
of which is hereto attached showing the boundaries of the property
sought to be annexed, do hereby petition this Honorable Body for
Annexation to the Town of Tukwila the following described property
as follows, to -wit:

Tukwila, to an intersection with the easterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of South 137th Street; thence
westerly, along said prolongation to the point of beginning.
