On January 21, 2016, I visited the building to review the condition of the roof structure. I walked some of the slab on grade looking up at the roof structure. The roof structure that I saw appeared to be in good condition and performing well. I also walked on top of the roof and the structure appeared to be performing well. I understand the new roofing to be added weighs about 0.5 psf. Section 3404.3 of the International Building Code allows for a 5% increase in the design gravity load on an existing roof without modification to the original structural framing members.
