Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of this requirement. 6: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building Department (206-431-3670). 7: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center. 8: Prior to final inspection for this building permit, a copy of the roof inembrane manufacturer's warranty certificate shall be provided to the building inspector. 9: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. Cut pipe seal between the two raised "ribs" to the desired diameter as iilustrated on the fiange of the pipe seal. (Do not cut off both raised "ribs".) 2. Pull TPO Pipe Seal over pipe until base flange is in contact with the membrane. (Application of heat to the top portion of the TPO Pipe Seal may be necessary to allow instaliation over the pipe.) 3. Mark pipe around the top of the TPO Pipe Seal. 4. Pull TPO Pipe Seal upwartls on pipe until mark on the pipe is visible. 5. Instail Water Cut-off Mastic below mark which indicates the top of the installed TPO Pipe Seal. 6. Pull TPO Pipe Seal back down over pipe and into position. 7. Heat weid the TPO Pipe Seal base flange to deck membrane (the hand-welder temperature setting should be between 5 and 6). 8. Install a stainless steel universa! clamping ring to provide constant compression of the sealant. Review Carlisle specifications and details for complete installation information. Precautions » Remove all lead and other flashing. » Temperature of pipe must not exceed 160°F (71°C). When used with mechanically fastened membrane, install a minimum of four fastening plates around pipe penetrations. Position fastening plates around the penetration so the plates are covered by the pipe seal flange. A minimum 1�/�"-wide weld must be maintained around the outer edge of the flange beyond the plates. If fastening plates cannot be installetl in a manner to allow a minimum 1'/z" weltl, the plates must be placed outside the TPO Pipe Seal flange and covered with a reinforced TPO overlay. » Store pre-molded pipe seals in a cool, shaded area and cover with light- colored, breathable, waterproof tarpaulins. If, upon inspection, Carlisle determines that the leak is caused by a defect in the Carlisle Total Roofing System's materials, or workmanship of the Cariisle Authorized Roofing Applicator in installing the same, Oamers remedies and Carlisle's liabiliry shall be limited to Carlisle's repair of the leak. 3. This warranty shail not be applicable if, upon Carlisle's inspection, Carlisle determines that any of the following has occurred: (a) The CaAisle Total Roofing System is damaged by natural disasters, inGuding, but not limited to, lightning, fire, insect infestations, earthquake, tornado, hail, hurricanes, and winds of (3 second) peak gust speeds of mph or hfgher measured at 10 meters above ground; or (b) Loss of integriry of the building envelope and, or structure including, but not limited to partiai or complete loss of roof decking, wall siding, windows, doors or other envelope components or from roof damage by wind-blown objects, or. (c) The Carlisle Total Roofing System is damaged by any inten,tional or negligent acts, accidents, misuse, abuse, vandaiism, civil disobedience, or the like. (d) Deterioration or failure of building componen[s, inGuding, but not limited to, the roof substrate, walls, mortar, HVAC units, non-Carlisle brand metal work, etc., occurs and causes a leak, or otherwise damages the Carlisle Total Roofing System; or (e) Aads, oils, harmful chemicals and the like came in contact with the Carlisle Total Roofing System and cause a leak, or otherwise damage the Carlisie Total Roofing System. (� The Carlisle Totai Roofing System encounters leaks or is othenvise damaged by condensation resulUng from any condiGon within the building that may generate moisture. 4. This Warranty shall be null and vofd if any of the following shall occur: (a) If, after installation of the Carlisle Total Roofing System by a Carlisle Authorized Roofing Applicator there are any alterations or repairs made on or through the roof or objects such as, but not limited to, sVudures, fixtures, solar panels, wind turbines, roof gardens or utilities are placed upon or attached to the roof without first obtaining written authorization from Carlisle; or (b) Failure by the Owner to use reasonable care in maintaining the roof, said maintenance to inGude, but not be limited to, those items listed an Carlisle's Care & Maintenance Irtfortnation sheet which accompanies this Warranty. 5. Only Cariisle brand insulation products are covered by this warranty. Carlisle specifically disclaims liability, under any theory of law, for damages sustained by or caused by non- CaAisle brand insulation products. i. During the term of this Warranty, Carlisle shall have free access to the roof during regular business hours. 7. Carlisle shall have no obligation under this Warranry while any bills for installation, supplies, service, and wartanty charges have not been paid in full to the Carlisle Authorized Roofing Applicator, CaAiste, or material suppliers. 3. Carlisle's failure at any time to enforce any of the terms or conditions stated herein shall not be construed to be a waiver of such provision. 9. Carlisle shall not be responsible for the cleanliness or discoloretion of the Carlisle Total Roofing System caused by environmental conditions inciuding, but not limited to, dirt, pollutants, or biological agents. 10. Carlisle shall have no Iiabiiity under any theory of law for any claims, repairs, restoration, or other damages including, but not limited to, consequential or incidental damages relating, directly or indirectly, to the presence of any irtitants, contaminants, vapors, fumes, molds, fungi, bacteria, spores, mycotoxins, or the like in the building or in the air, land, or water serving the building. 11. .i'his warranty shall be transferable upon a change in ownership of the building when the owner has completed certain procedures including a transfer fee and an inspection of the Roofing System by a Cariisle representative.
