RE: Correction Letter # 2
DEVELOPMENT Permit Application Number D 16-0139
CASH AMERICA - 3920 S 146 ST
Dear DAN ZETTERBERG,
This letter is to inform you of corrections that must be addressed before your development permit can be approved. All
correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have
enclosed comments from the following departments:
BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Allen Johannessen at 206-433-7163 if you have questions regarding these comments.
• (GENERAL NOTE)
PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size l 1x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size. New revised
plan sheets shall be the same size sheets as those previously submitted.)
(If applicable) "STAMP AND SIGNATURES" "Every page of a plan set must contain the seal/stamp, signature of
the licensee(s) who prepared or who had direct supervision over the preparation of the work, and date of signature.
Specifications that are prepared by or under the direct supervision of a licensee shall contain the seal/stamp,
signature of the licensee and the date of signature. If the "specifications" prepared by a licensee are a portion of a
bound specification document that contains specifcations other than that of an engineering or land surveying
nature, the licensee need only seal/stamp that portion or partions of the documents for which the licensee is
responsible." It shall not be required to have each page of "specifications" (calculations) to be stamped and signed;
Front page only will be sufficient. (WAC 196-23-010 & 196-23-020)
(BUILDING REVIEW NOTES)
1. Much of the previous review request has been resolved for this vacant space (white box). However it was
requested to provide dimensions for the accessible bathroom to include specifications for wall and ceiling framing
details and identifying sound insulation specifications. Even though this it is intended to have a future tenant
improvement permit, the bathroom proposed for this permit shall be to code and shall have all items requested in a
neat architectural format that specifically calls out all accessible features, wall blocking for grab bars details for
grab bars and fixtures to include toilet and lavatory fixtures. The size of the bathroom shown is not sufficient to
meet the accessible codes for an accessible bathroom. For this bathroom to be approved for construction the
specific detailed information shall be provided and drawn to scale with all dimensions shown "on the plans" in a
neat architecturally drawn set of specifications and details with al] dimensions shown. Please provide the
information as requested.
2. In addition to item #1, it was requested to provide suspended ceiling details. A suspended ceiling brochure is not
an acceptable plan for a suspended ceiling detail specific far this tenant and building. Details shall specifically
show method for attaching to the structural portions of this building; generic brochure details are not acceptable.
Ceiling height shall be specified, to include existing building height where ceiling shall be attached to the structure
above. Ceiling seismic attachment shall be specific to this buildings structural elements. Provide clear details and
dimensions to an architectural scale as requested.
3. The information and details requested is very important as it has to deal with the life safety and accessible
features for a public commercial building. The requested information shall be provided before a permit can be
issued.
