PERMIT CONDITIONS:

2: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made
during construction that are not in accordance with the approved construction documents shall be
resubmitted for approval.
3: All permits, inspection record card and approved construction documents shall be kept at the site of work
and shall be open to inspection by the Building Inspector until final inspection approval is granted.
4: Readily accessible access to roof mounted equipment is required.
5: All construction shall be done in conformance with the Washington State Building Code and the
Washington State Energy Code.
6: All construction noise to be in compliance with Chapter 8.22 of the City of Tukwila Municipal Code. A copy
can be obtained at City Hall in the office of the City Clerk.
7: Prior to final inspection for this building permit, a copy of the roof inembrane manufacturer's warranty
certificate shall be provided to the building inspector.
8: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permitshall not be construed to be a permit for, or an
approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City
of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other
ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction
documents and other data shall not prevent the Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in
the construction documents and other data.

covers, preflashed accessories, and metal flashings used by the con�roctor of record that meet SMACNA stondards (the "GAF Roofing Moterials") resu�ting
from a manu4octuring defect, ordinary wear and tear, or workmanship in applying the GAF Roofing Materials. GAF's MAXIMUM LIABILITY under fhis
guaranlee shall not exceed in the aggregate over the life of this guarantee more than $ 300.OQer 100 square feet of roof orea. Leaks caused by any
materials other than those listed above, such as the roof deck, non-GAF insulalion, or any other materials used in the construclion of the roof system, are
notcovered.
GUARANTEE PERIOD
This guarantee ends on the expiration date listed above. NOTE: Lexsuco� and uncoated M-Curb�� Flashings are covered by this guarantee
only for the first ten years.
OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
Notificallon of Leaks
In the event of a leak through the GAF Roofing Maferials, you MUST make sure that GAF is notified directly about the Ieak, in writing, within 30
days by amail �preferred) at guaranteeleakC�gaf.com or by postal mail lo GAF Guarantee Services, 1361 Alps Road, Bldg. 1 1-1, Wayne, New Jersey
07470, or GAF will have no responsibility for making repairs. NOTE: The roofing contractor is NOT an agent of GAF; notice to Ihe roofing contractor is
NOT nofice to GAF.
By notifying GAF, you authorize GAF to investigale the cause of the leak. If the investigation reveals that the leak is not covered by this guarantee,
you agree to pay an invesligation cost of $500. This guarantee will be cancelled if you fail to pay this cost within 30 days of receipt of an invoice for it.
Proventafive Mainfenance and Repairs
A. You must perform regular inspections and maintenance and keep records of this work.
B. To keep this guarantee in effect, you must repoir any conditions in the building structure or roofing system fhal are not covered by fhis guarantee but
that GAF concludes may be threatening the integrity of the GAF Roofing Materials �e.g., porous walls allowing water enlry info fhe roofing system�.
C. You may make temporary repairs to minimize damoge to fhe building or its contents in an emergenry, at your sole expense. These repairs will not resulf
in cancellation of the guarantee as long as they are reosonable and customary and do not result in permanent damage to the GAF Roofing Materials.
D. Any equipment or material Ihaf impedes any inspection or repair must be removed at your expense so fhal GAF can perform inspections or repairs.
EXCLUSIONS FROM COVERAGE
(e.g., items that aro not "ordinary wear and tear" or aro beyond GAF's confroi)
This guarantee does NOT cover conditions other than leaks. This guarantee also does NOT cover leaks caused by any of the following:
1. Inadequate roof maintenance, that is, the failure to follow the Scheduled
Maintenance Checklists provided with this guarantee (extra copies
availab�e by colling Guarantee Services at 1•804ROOF-411�.
2. Unusual wearher conditions or nafural disasters including, but not
limifed to, windslorms, hail, Noods, hurricanes, lightning, tornados, and
earthquakes, unless specifically covered under Ihis guarantee.
3. Damage to the roof conshucted of the GAF Roofing Malerials due to:
�a� movement or cracking of the roof deck or building; �b� improper
insfallation or failure of any non�GAF insulation or materials; (c�
infillralion or condensation of moisture through or around the walls,
copings, building shucture, or surrounding materials except where high
wqll GAF waterproofing f�ashings are installed; (d) chemical anack on
the membrane, including, but not limited to, exposure ro grease or oil; �e)
the failure of wood nailers lo remain attached to the shucture; (Fl moislure
migration from the building interior or any building component other than
fhe GAF Roofing Maferials; or (g) use of materials that are incompalible
with the GAF Roofing Materials.
4. Traffic oF any nafure on fhe roof unless using GAF walkways applied
in accordance with GAF's published application instructions.
5. Blisfers in fhe GAF Roofing Materials fhat have nol resulted in leaks unless
the blister is in a seam and may affect the waterfighl infegrity of Ihe GAF
Roofing Maferials.
6. Changes in Ihe use of the building or any repairs, modifications, or
addilions to the GAF Roofing Materials aher the roof is completed, unless
approved in wrifing by GAF.
7. Exposure fo sustained high-temperature condifiohs; however, for sysfems
utilizing EverGuard Extreme� TPO membrane, exposure in excess of
195°F.
8. Any condition (e.g., base Hashing height or lack of counler flashing� that
is not in accordance with GAF's published applicafion instructions or
any deviation or modification from any published specification, unless
specifically aufhorized by a GAF Field Services Manager or Direcfor
in wrifing.
No representative, employee, or agent of GAF, or any other person, has the outhoriy to as:ume any additional or other liability or responsibility
for GAF, unless it is in writing and signed by an authorized GAF Field $ervices Manager or Direcror. NOTE: Any inspedions made by GAF are �
limited to a surface inspection only, are for GAF's sole benefit, and do not constitute a waiver of any of the terms and condi'tions of this guarantee.
This guarantee MAY BE SUSPENDED OR CANCELLED IF THE ROOF IS DAMAGED BY any cause listed above as AN EXCLUSION FROM
COVERAGE that may affect the integriy or watertightness of the roof.
TRANSFERABIUTY
You may transfer or assign this guarantee to a subsequent owner of this building for �he remaining term only if: lJ the request is in writing to GAF at the
address lisfed below within 60 days aher ownership hansfer; 2) you moke any repairs lo fhe GAF Roofing Materials or other roofing or building components
that are identified by GAF aher an inspection os necessary to preserve the integrity of Ihe GAF Roofing Maferials; and 3) you pay an assignment fee of
$500. This guarantee is NOT oiherwise tronsferable or assignable by conrract or operation of low, either directly or indirectly.
LIMITATION OF DAMAGES; MEDIATION; JURISDICTION; CHOICE OF LAW
THIS GUARANTEE IS EXPRESSIY IN UEU OF ANY OTHER GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED
_—WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PART1CUlAR PURPOSE, and of any olher obligations or liability of GAf, whether any

The parfies agree thal, as a condi6on precedent ro litigation, any conhoverry or cbim reloling to this guarontee shall be first submitted to mediation before
a mutualiy occepfable mediator. In the e+ent that mediation is unsuccessful, the porties ogree rfwt neither one will commence or prosecute any lowsuir or
