Meeting Minutes
October 12, 2020 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency

Staff Present:

Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. Human Services Advisory Board Funding Recommendations for 2021-2022
Staff presented the 2021-2022 funding recommendations from the Human Services Advisory
Board.
Committee Recommendation:
Discussion only.
11. MISCELLANEOUS
• Staff updated the Committee on the forthcoming process for hiring a Police
Chief. Committee members suggested including a Councilmember in the
selection process. Chair Kruller suggested outreach to Foster High's Black
Student Union. Staff will finalize the draft shortly and publish.
• Staff reported that the online Budget survey is open through 10/23/20 and has a
good response rate so far.
• Governor Inslee has extended the eviction moratorium through the end of the
year.
• Chair Kruller mentioned that Administration provided a thorough email
response detailing city efforts to assist families displaced by the Foster Creek
Apartment fire.
