Surface Water Management Program
Workshop for 2012 Updates
As many of you may be aware, the City's Surface Water Management Program (SWMP) is in full
swing. The Public Works Department will be hosting a workshop for the purpose of updating
the SWMP for 2012. We have scheduled a SWMP Workshop on:
Wednesday, January 18, 2012
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We will be evaluating five elements of the SWMP:
Public Education and Outreach
Public Involvement and Participation
Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination
Controlling Runoff from New Development, Redevelopment and Construction Sites
Pollution Prevention and Operation and Maintenance for Municipal Operations
If you are unable to attend the January 18 SWMP Workshop but would like to provide
suggestions or ideas, please contact us by one of the methods listed below. Your input will be
very valuable to the City's effort to reduce storm water pollution and erosion.

Also included for review at the SWMP Workshop will be the City's Draft Surface Water
Comprehensive Plan. Your comments or questions regarding storm drainage concerns are
also welcome.
