AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA AMENDING SECTION
ONE OF ORDINANCE NO. 244 OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 23rd day of September, 1957,
Ordinance No. 244 was adopted by the Council of the Town of
Tukwila, which said ordinance annexed certain property to the
Town.
WHEREAS, when said Ordinance was submitted to the County
Engineer and County Assessor it became apparent that a better
description of the area annexed could be used, and whereas upon
conferences between the Engineer for the Town of Tukwila and
said county officials such new description has been agreed upon,
and whereas said new description does not in any manner change
the area annexed to the Town but is merely a more accurate and
comprehensive description of the area as shown upon the sketch at-
taahadd to the Petition for Annexation.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Town Council of
Tukwila as follows:
SECTION I: That Section I of Ordinance No. 2)i't reading as
follows:
"That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session
Laws of the State of Washington for 1945 the following described
property contiguous to the town limits of the Town of Tukwila,
to -wit:
A portion of Sections 24, 23, 14 and 15, Twp. 23 No.,
R. 4 E.W.M. described as follows: Beginning at a point in
the NW* of Section 24, Twp. 23 N., R. 4 E. W. M. approxi-
mately 1900 feet South and 850 feet east of the northwest
corner of said Section 24 at the intersection of south-
westerly Rightof Way line of Northern Pacific Railway and
the thread of the stream of Green River also known as
Duwamish River being a point in the easterly bounday of
present City Limit of Tukwila aid r- Inning thence northwest-
erly along the southwesterly Right of Way line of the North-
ern Pacific Railway through Sections 24, 23 and the East
half of Section 14, Twp. 23 N., R. 4 E.W.M. to the north and
south .center line of said Section 14; thence southerly along
said center line 100 feet more or less to the thread of the
stream of the Duwamish River, following thence northerly
down stream along said thread of stream of the Duwamisb River
through the West half Sec. 14 and C. D. Lewis Donation Claim
No. 37 to a point which bears N. 40 36 1 E from point on
the northeasterly Right of Way line 'of Puget Sound Electric
Railway now City of Seattle Transmission Line)which point
is 564.29 feet measured along said Right of Way Line N. 49
24 W from the northwesterly margin of a 16 -foot private road
(48th Ave. So.) running thence S. 40 36 1 W 1270 feet more
or less along the northwesterly line of Tax Lot 8 to said
point on the northeasterly margin of City of Seattle Trans-
mission Line, thence continuing S 40 36 1 W across said
Transmission Line 100 feet to a point in the northeasterly
Right of Way Line of Secondary State Road No. 5M in the NE4
of Section 15, Twp. 23 N., R. 4 E.W.M. running thence south-
easterly in NE* of Section 15 and the NW4 of Section 14
along said northeasterly Right of Way line 2600 feet more or
less to a point which bears N. 74 27 1 30" E of the north-
easterly corner of the J. A. Radford Property Tax Lot
Mo. 2 in the SWI- of Section 14 Township 23 N. Range 4 E.W.M)
thence S. 74 27 1 30" W 67.81 feet more or less to the
northeasterly eorner of said J. A. Radford property, said
northeasterly corner being located on the southwesterly
right of way line of said state road No. 5M, continuing
thence S 74 27 1 30" W along the northwesterly bounday of
said J. A. Radford property 177 feet more or less to the
northwesterly corner of said J. A. Radford property said
corner alsorbeing the northeasterly corner of the Carl
Brewer property (Tax lot No. 90) continuing thence S.
74 27 1 30" W. along the northwesterly boundary of said Carl
Brewer property 125 feet more or less to the northeasterly
corner of said Carl Brewer property, said northeasterly
corner being on the northeasterly right of way line of
56th Avenue South at a point which bears S. 46 04 1 E 33.84
feet from the intersection of said northeasterly right of
way line of 56th Avenue South with the northwesterly right
of way line of S. 137th St. continuing thence S. 74 27'30"
W 34.82 feet more or less to the intersection of the south-
westerly right of way line of said 56th Avenue S. with the
southeasterly right of way line of said S. 137th Street,
thence southeasterly along the southwesterly Right of Way
line of 56th Ave. So. 780 feet more or less to the south
line of Stephen Foster Donation Claim No. 38 and the present
northerly Limit of Tukwila; running thence easterly along
said Limit line of Tukwila being So. 139th St. 2150 feet
more or less to the center line or thread of the stream of
Duwamish River; thence southerly upstream along the thread
of the stream of the Duwamish River being present Limit of
Tukwila 7300 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
Shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
be and the same hereby is repealed and re- enacted as follows:

mately 1900 feet south and 850 feet east of the northwest
corner of said Section 2t, said point being on the easterly
limits of the Town of Tukwila and also being on the center
line of the Duwamish River; thence northeasterly and
perpendicular to the southwesterly right of way margin of
the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul Railway to said south-
westerly right of way margin; thence northwesterly along
said southwesterly right of way line sad continuing north-
westerly along the southwesterly Right of way line of the
Northern Pacific Railway through Sections 24, 23 and the
East half of Section 1)4, Twp. 23 N., R. L. E.W.M. to the
north and south center line of said Section 14,; thence
southerly along said center line 100 feet more or less to
the thread of the stream of the Duwamish River, following
thence northerly down stream along said thread of stream
of the Duwamish River through the West half Sec. 14 and
C. D. Lewis Donation Claim No. 37 to a point which bears
N. 10 36' E from a point on the northeasterly Right of Way
line of Puget Sound Electric Railway (now City of Seattle
Transmission Line) which point is 564.29 feet measured

said J. A. Radford property, said northeasterly corner
being located on the southwesterly right of way line of
said state road No. 5M, continuing thence S 74 27'30" W
along the northwesterly boundary of said J. A. ,Radford.

northeasterly right of way line of 56th Avenue South at a
point which bears S. 46 04' E 33.84 feet from the inter-
section of said northeasterly right of way line of 56th
Avenue South with the northwesterly right of way line of
S. 137th St. continuing thence S.74 27 1 30" W 34.82 feet
more or less to the intersection of 'the southwesterly right
of way line of said 56th Avenue S. with the southeasterly
right of way line of said S. 137th Street, thence south-
easterly along the southwesterly right of way line of 56th
Avenue So. 780 feet more or less to the south line of

Shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the Town of Tukwila.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five days from and after its passage, approval and
legal publication as provided by law.
