Chief Lowery reported there are 33 employees in the
Police Department. The organization chart was discussed.
COUNCILMAN BAUCH ARRIVED AT THE MEETING AT 8:58 P.M.

Two positions in Police /Patrol will be probationary,
which will reduce the budget.
Chief Lowery stated that only one K -9 dog will be used
in 1984 which will reduce the budget by $500.
MOVED BY PHELPS, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT THE ISSUE OF
SPECIAL UNIT STAFFING BE SENT TO THE PERSONNEL AND
FINANCE COMMITTEE FOR CONSIDERATION. MOTION CARRIED.
