Council Chambers BUDGET REVIEW MEETING M I N U T E S CALL TO ORDER Council President Harris called the Budget Review Meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. COUNCIL MEMBERS MABEL J. HARRIS, Council President, JOE H. DUFFIE, EDGAR D. BAUCH, WENDY A. MORGAN. OFFICIALS MAXINE ANDERSON, City Clerk; HUBERT CRAWLEY, Fire Chief; ALAN DOERSCHEL, Finance Director; PATRICK LOWERY, Police Chief; BYRON SNEVA, Public Works Director. DISCUSSION Federal Shared Revenue Trust P. 194 Request Changed Second Display Case UNRESOLVED ITEMS Library Fund Council reviewed item requested from the Federal Shared Revenue Trust Fund. 514.210.64.01, the request for a Word Processor Terminal has been changed to a request for a hard disc drive for the recently purchased word processor. 514.210.64.02, Council Member Morgan requested that $1,000 be added to purchase a secured glass display case for the library. It would be City property and be compatible with the one in the lobby of City Hall. Microfilm Project 521.230.64.09, Microfilm Project: MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT THE MICROFILM PROJECT BE MOVED INTO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL UNIT DIVISION BUDGET. MOTION CARRIED. Inflatable Boat Councilman Bauch said that he didn't think the City needed an Equipment inflatable boat. MOVED BY MORGAN, SECONDED BY BAUCH, THAT THE INFLATABLE BOAT AND EQUIPMENT BE REMOVED FROM REVENUE SHARING. MOTION CARRIED WITH DUFFIE VOTING NO. Table and Chairs 522.500.64.01, Table and Chairs for Station #52: for Station 52 Mattresses needed MOVED BY MORGAN, SECONDED BY BAUCH, THAT $800 BE ADDED TO PURCHASE SIX NEW MATTRESSES FOR STATION #52. MOTION CARRIED. Heat Pumps Council Member Morgan suggested that the funds be left in for the heat pumps and that an energy audit be done to all of the City buildings. If there are funds left they should be directed for another building. Review Completed Review of the items in Federal Shared Revenue was completed and all items, not mentioned above, were approved. It was noted that $6,000 for a Dialer Alarm was previously moved to this fund from Public Works. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY MORGAN, THAT COUNCIL ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL FOR LIBRARY SERVICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $59,700. MOTION CARRIED. Public Works Council discussed the reorganization chart for the Public Works Reorganization Department and expressed no further problems with the proposal. TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL, BUDGET REVIEW MEETING December 13, 1983 Page 2 UNRESOLVED ITEMS Executive Session Requested Continued MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT AN EXECUTIVE SESSION BE ADDED TO MONDAY NIGHT'S AGENDA PRIOR TO DISCUSSION ON THE ADOPTION OF THE 1984 BUDGET. Session will be held to discuss a personnel matter. MOTION CARRIED. MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, THAT MR. SIMPSON, COUNCILMAN ELECT, BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE EXECUTIVE SESSION.
