Presentation provided information on the general fund and revenue forecasting. City Administrator requested commissioner input on budget priorities for the next budget cycle. Commissioners discussed strategic planning for 2021, setting strategic values and parameters for decision-making. Examples include protecting most vulnerable, police protection and preventing the reduction of City services, including staff. Commissioners are concerned that the Equity and Social Justice Commission is expected to solve all City challenges. Commission discussed the Tukwila Police Chief search and impacts it will have internally and externally. community resources and the Community Connection Center.
