Finance Chair Seal called the meeting to order.
Budget Review - General Fund
Councilmembers discussed the proposed budgets for Parks & Recreation, Community
Development, and the Police Department. The Police Department Budget will be continued on
October 27, 2020.
During the course of discussion, Councilmembers discussed an interest in constructing a new
community center to serve youth and seniors in the Tukwila International Boulevard
neighborhood. There was consensus to direct staff to begin planning in the 2021-2022 Budget.
No final decisions were made, and questions needing staff follow-up were noted in a tracking
document.
