Finance Chair Seal called the meeting to order.
Budget Review - Municipal Court
Staff presented an update to the proposed budget for the Municipal Court, which reflects position
reclassifications completed recently.
Funding Options - Park Maintenance, Street Maintenance, Human Services.
Staff presented a proposed philosophy and service level options for Parks Maintenance, Street
Maintenance, and Human Services.
Councilmembers discussed options and directed staff to prepare a budget for final adoption to
include:
• $50,000 in supplies for Parks Maintenance
• $100,000 in supplies for Street Maintenance
• $250,000 in funding for Human Services
Ideas raised requiring further discussion in 2021 include: rental assistance lifetime cap, Police
Department budget, possibility of PD providing security upon park closing, and options for
expanded youth programming while the new facility is being planned.
