A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A NEW PUBLIC WORKS
FEE SCHEDULE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2011.,

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A NEW PUBLIC WORKS
FEE SCHEDULE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2011.
WHEREAS, each yearthe City analyzes the rate model forthe three utility enterprise
funds, which are water, sewer and surface water, to ensure revenues keep pace with
expenses, to update the traffic model, andto analyze the transportation networkto ensure
continued compliance with the Growth Management Act and the City's adopted
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to impose fees to recoup the costs of services
rendered; and
WHEREAS, per an Interagency Agreement, the City will have the King County
Treasury Operations provide services for managing the City's surfacewater management
database, include the City's surface water charges on ratepayers' King County property
tax bill, and provide customer service related to those surface water charges; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2011 was adopted on December 7, 2020, and an error
was discovered in the stated calculation factorin the Sewage Treatment Rates section;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Public Works fees will be charged according to the following schedule,
which shall supersede any previously adopted Public Works Fee Schedule andtakeeffect
as of January 1, 2021:

SEWAGE TREATMENT RATES
As of 2021, the City Sewage Treatment Charges as required by the Agreement for Sewage Disposal
between the King County Metropolitan Services and the City of Tukwila are set at a flat rate of $47.37 per
single family dwelling.
For multiple family and commercial/industrial accounts, there is a minimum charge of $47.37 per meter
for up to 750 cubic feet of consumption plus $47.37 per each additional 750 cubic feet orfraction thereof.
