HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-02-13 - House Fire - 13500 Block of 35th Avenue SouthTukwila Fire Department News Event for Immediate Release SUBJECT: HOUSE FIRE IN TLJKWILA Date: Monday, February 13, 2012 Time: 10:27 AM This evening just before 9pm, Tukwila Fire Department responded to a reported car fire in the 13500 block of 35 Ave South. Tukwila was assisted by SeaTac and North Highline Fire Departments, South King County Medic 4 and the Zone 3 Rehab Unit. First arriving units reported a fully involved car fire that was extending to a single fancily residence. Our crews did a quick and strategic attack on the fire, putting a good stop to the spread of the fire. The house was occupied by a family of two adults and four children. ALL OCCUPANTS GOT OUT OF THE HOUSE SAFELY. There was one minor injury to one of the occupants as she was exiting. Crews quickly confirmed no one else was in the house. Investigators are on scene now investigating the cause of the fire. The exact cause has not yet been determined. Damage to the home was mostly on the exterior. Dollar loss is still being figured. With the exception of the one minor injury to one of the occupants, no other firefighters or civilians were injured.
