This structure has its own waik-in door and appears to be a separate habitable space (mother-in-law or MIL), as indicated by the photographs in the real estate listings. The house can either be used as a single family residence or a single family residence with a registered accessory dwelling unit (ADU). lfthe house is to be used as a single family residence, the kitchen, washer, and dryer in the basement will need to be removed. If the house is to be used as a single family residence with a registered ADU, the ADU must be registered and meet all applicable codes and regulations which apply to ADU's. The detached building cannot be used as habitable space in this zone. Return the detached building to a garage or storage.
