Tax help is available in your neighborhood and in your
language from IRS-certified volunteers. Now through April 19,
2018, United Way of King County is providing free tax
preparation and access to the Earned Income Tax Credit and
other tax credits. The best news: No appointment needed and
no fees to pay.
Free tax experts will help qualifying households that make
less than $66,000 maximize refunds to keep more of their
hard-earned money and avoid paying unnecessary fees for
commercial tax preparation and "rapid refund" loans.

Tukwila Works is working for the
community
Tukwila wants to hear from you about things that need
attention in the community. Using the City's program called
Tukwila Works (powered by SeeClickFix), community members
can report things like potholes, fallen trees, broken traffic
signs and signals, etc., directly to the appropriate City staff
person. Tukwila Works also enables anyone to see the
progress status and results of requests made.
You can access Tukwila Works in a number of ways:
Download the Tukwila Works app
for Apple or Android devices
On Tukwila's website (TukwilaWA.gov) under the
Residents tab, select Engage: Report an Issue
Or call Mia Navarro, Community Engagement Manager,
at 206-454-7564
We look forward to hearing from you!

the sidewalk upside down. ;-)
Tukwila staff: In my years of experience it's by far the most
efficient way to remove leaves and debris from sidewalks...
Officer Saguil takes on new role as school
resource officer at Foster High School
There is a new School Resource Officer (SRO) in town! Officer
Saguil was selected by a panel of experienced SRO's,
command staff and school administration to be the new SRO
for the Tukwila School District. He began his duties as the SRO
on January 2nd. He has competed in wrestling at the World
Police & Fire Games and the National Police & Fire
Championships for quite a few years now and is a gold
medalist in multiple wrestling events. We are excited to have
him as the department SRO and know that he will be doing
some great things and building positive connections with the
kids, staff and school community!
Check out the article in the January Tukwila Reporter for
