NOTICE OF APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that the City of Tukwila is working towards providing a SEPA Determination on
the following project:
Project: E21-000 3 Tukwila Zoning Code Housing and Emergency Shelter Update
Address: Citywide
Applicant: City of Tukwila DCD
6300 Southcenter Blvd, Suite 100
Tukwila, WA 98188
Request: SEPA determination for the amendment of the City of Tukwila Zoning
Code codified in Title 18 of the City of Tukwila Municipal Code (TMC) to
comply with HB 1220 which does not allow cities or counties to prohibit
indoor emergency shelters, transitional housing, or permanent
supportive housing from their zones that allow residential housing or
hotels. Tukwila also intends to adopt size, operation, and location
conditions for these uses.
Comments: A copy of the SEPA Checklist for the above proposal may be obtained
from the Tukwila Planning Division by calling 206/431-3670, or by
accessing the Dept. of Ecology SEPA Register. Written comments on the
SEPA Checklist and this Notice of Application must be received by 5 p.m.
on June 30, 2021 at: City of Tukwila, DCD, Suite 100, 6300 Southcenter
Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188; or by contacting the project planner Nora
