manifestations within the organization.
o Identify the Cultural abundance of the Tukwila community.

Leading for Racial Equity in Tukwila —Session!
• Develop personal commitment to ESJ's collective "Why" Mission statement:
The commission advises policymakers; advocating and promoting for initiatives
that dismantle systemic racial, gender, and economic inequities, to create and
strengthen a sense of belonging for all community members.
o Develop shared analysis: calibrate members' understanding of
interpersonal, institutional and structural racism and White
supremacy
o Practice the "how": community agreements and practices;
understanding the cycle of adult behavior change.
• Eric Dreyer, Chief of Police briefed the commissioners on the Tukwila Police
Department Hiring Process Community Volunteer — Interview Panelist.
Commissioners were given the opportunity to consider participating in the hiring
process. Staff to an provide update and documentation at the next meeting.
• Commissioners agreed to not convene in the month of July 2021 and resume back
in August 2021.

7/14/2021: Naming of new commissioner; Commissioners received an update on the
Tukwila Justice Center, Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) and the Tukwila Pond Master Plan

6/24/21: Adoption of the Transit -Oriented Development Housing Action Plan and its
associated recommendations.
7/22/21: Consider Tukwila Zoning Code changes to respond to new requirements in State
law permitted locations for emergency shelters, transitional housing and permanent
